Odette Annable hasn’t even appeared on the current season of Cinemax’s Banshee yet, but Celebuzz can report that she’ll be back for the newly announced Season 2.
Annable
revealed the news to Celebuzz while promoting the haircare line, Clear
Hair and Scalp Beauty Therapy. Additionally, a Cinemax spokesperson also
confirmed Annable’s second season return to the new series from True Blood co-creator Alan Ball.
“It’s a different character than I have ever played,” the House alum also says. “Completely different, actually. I play a Native American assassin.”
Yes,
the last name should ring a bell. We’ve already met two Longshadows:
the father-son team that runs the town of Banshee’s casino. But,
apparently, fans will have to wait until Season 2 to see Nola mix it up
with Lucas Hood (Antony Starr), the ex-con who’s masquerading as Banshee’s sheriff.
“Right
now, they just set her up and they just show her backstory and how
she’s mixed up with her family, how her character sort of comes in,”
Annable explains. “It’s very background and then she’ll sort of dive
into her agenda.”
Banshee airs Fridays at 10PM on Cinemax.
